Description

A refreshing and tropical Christmas Frozen Mango Margarita made with frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, and a touch of sweetener. Perfectly blended and served chilled, rimmed with Tajín seasoning and garnished with lime or mango slices for a festive holiday cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup blanco (silver) tequila
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 small limes)
  • 12 tablespoons guava jelly or agave or honey or simple syrup, for sweetening, to taste
  • Ice, as needed

For Serving

  • Tajín seasoning, for rimming the glasses (optional)
  • Sliced lime, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh mango pieces, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Glasses: Sprinkle Tajín seasoning onto a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses, then dip and roll each glass in the seasoning until fully coated. Set the rimmed glasses aside.
  2. Blend the Margarita: In a high-powered blender, combine frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and your choice of sweetener (guava jelly, agave, honey, or simple syrup). Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Adjust Consistency and Sweetness: Check the margarita consistency and taste. If the mixture is too thin, add ice to thicken. Add more sweetener if desired and blend briefly to mix.
  4. Serve: Divide the frozen mango margarita evenly between the two rimmed glasses. Garnish with sliced lime and/or fresh mango pieces if desired. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use a high-powered blender for the smoothest consistency.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your preference by varying the amount or type of sweetener.
  • Tajín seasoning is optional but adds a nice spicy and tangy flavor to the rim.
  • For a thicker margarita, use less lime juice or add more frozen mango chunks.
  • Make sure to use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
