Main Ingredients
- 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil
- 2 pounds steak, cut into small bite size pieces
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Green onion, for garnish
Instructions
- Season Steak: Season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until well coated.
- Brown Steak: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add avocado oil to the hot skillet, then add steak in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until brown, stirring occasionally. Cook in batches if necessary. Remove steak from the pan once browned.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: Remove any excess water from the skillet. Add butter or ghee to the pan, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Combine and Finish: Return the steak to the pan, cook for 1-2 minutes stirring to coat the steak in the garlic butter sauce. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve: Garnish with green onion and serve immediately for best flavor.
Notes
- For a dairy-free version, use ghee or dairy-free butter substitute.
- If you prefer less heat, omit the red pepper flakes.
- Use high-quality steak such as sirloin or ribeye for best tenderness.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan while browning to ensure proper searing.
- Serve with a side of vegetables or over cauliflower rice for a low-carb meal.
