Description

Tender steak bites seasoned with garlic, butter, and fresh herbs, perfect for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner. This recipe is ready in just twenty minutes and can be easily adapted to be Paleo, Whole30, and dairy-free friendly.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 pounds steak, cut into small bite size pieces
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Green onion, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season Steak: Season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until well coated.
  2. Brown Steak: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add avocado oil to the hot skillet, then add steak in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until brown, stirring occasionally. Cook in batches if necessary. Remove steak from the pan once browned.
  3. Prepare Garlic Butter: Remove any excess water from the skillet. Add butter or ghee to the pan, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Combine and Finish: Return the steak to the pan, cook for 1-2 minutes stirring to coat the steak in the garlic butter sauce. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
  5. Serve: Garnish with green onion and serve immediately for best flavor.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, use ghee or dairy-free butter substitute.
  • If you prefer less heat, omit the red pepper flakes.
  • Use high-quality steak such as sirloin or ribeye for best tenderness.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan while browning to ensure proper searing.
  • Serve with a side of vegetables or over cauliflower rice for a low-carb meal.
