Ingredients
Scale
Dry Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
Main Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 200C/400F and arrange a rack in the middle of the oven to ensure even cooking.
- Prepare Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and baking powder if using. Mix well to create a balanced spice blend.
- Coat Wings: Place the chicken wings in a baking dish. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the wings and toss to coat thoroughly. Drizzle with olive oil and mix again to ensure each wing is coated.
- Bake Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until they are golden brown and cooked through, turning once or twice if desired for even crisping.
- Make Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the wings bake, melt butter in a small pot over low heat. Add minced garlic and chopped parsley and stir gently until the garlic becomes fragrant. Remove from heat promptly to avoid burning.
- Coat with Sauce and Parmesan: Once wings are done, remove them from the oven. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the wings and sprinkle fresh parmesan cheese on top evenly.
- Final Crisping: Return the wings to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes to meld the flavors and crisp up the parmesan coating until golden brown.
Notes
- TO STORE: Transfer leftover wings into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days to maintain freshness.
- TO FREEZE: Place leftover wings in a shallow freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 6 months. Thaw overnight before reheating.
- TO REHEAT: Reheat wings in the oven or air fryer to retain crispiness. Avoid microwaving as it will make them soggy.
