This Garlic Parmesan Wings recipe delivers crispy, flavorful chicken wings coated with a savory blend of garlic, parmesan, and herbs baked to perfection in the oven. Perfect as a delicious appetizer or snack for gatherings, these wings combine aromatic spices and a rich garlic parmesan sauce for a mouthwatering experience.

Ingredients

Scale

Spice Mix and Wings

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 400F (200C) and arrange a rack in the middle position.
  2. Prepare Spice Mix: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and baking powder if using.
  3. Season Wings: Place chicken wings in a baking dish and sprinkle the spice mix evenly over them, coating thoroughly. Drizzle olive oil over the wings.
  4. Bake Wings: Bake wings in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Make Garlic Sauce: While wings bake, melt butter in a small pot over low heat. Add minced garlic and chopped parsley, stirring until garlic is fragrant. Remove from heat.
  6. Coat with Sauce and Cheese: Remove wings from oven and pour the prepared garlic butter sauce over them. Sprinkle freshly grated parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Final Bake: Return wings to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until wings turn crispy, brown, and the cheese melts.

Notes

  • TO STORE: Transfer leftover wings into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
  • TO FREEZE: Place leftovers in a shallow container and freeze for up to 6 months.
  • TO REHEAT: Reheat wings in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness; avoid microwaving to prevent sogginess.
