Description

Pretzel M&M Hugs is a fun and festive treat that combines salty pretzels with creamy Hershey's Hugs and colorful Milk Chocolate M&M's. These easy-to-make snacks are perfect for holiday parties or anytime you want a crunchy, chocolatey bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 70 square pretzels (do NOT use butter snaps)
  • 70 Hershey's Hugs chocolates, unwrapped (nearly 1 full 12 oz package)
  • 70 Milk Chocolate M&M's (red and green Christmas package recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit and line a cookie sheet with a Silpat or parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Arrange Pretzels and Add Chocolate: Place the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared cookie sheet and top each pretzel with one unwrapped Hershey's Hug chocolate.
  3. Melt Chocolate Softly: Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, watching carefully to ensure the chocolate becomes shiny and soft but does not completely melt or lose its shape.
  4. Add M&M's and Shape: Remove the tray from the oven and quickly place one Milk Chocolate M&M in the center of each soft Hug chocolate. Press down gently on the M&M to spread the chocolate around.
  5. Set the Treats: Transfer the cookie sheet to the freezer or refrigerator and let the chocolate set for 15 minutes until firm.
  6. Store: Once set, store the Pretzel M&M Hugs in an airtight container to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overheat the Hugs chocolate; it should be soft and shiny but maintain its shape.
  • If you don't have a Silpat or parchment paper, lightly grease the cookie sheet to prevent sticking.
  • You can use any color of M&M's if making outside of holiday season.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature or cooler to prevent melting.
  • Butter snaps pretzels are not recommended as they are too soft and won’t give the desired crunch.
