Description

Ramen Lasagna is a delightful fusion dish combining the comforting layers of classic Italian lasagna with the quick-cooking ramen noodles. This recipe layers ramen noodles with rich tomato sauce, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses, baked to bubbly perfection for a unique, hearty meal that's easy to prepare and serves four.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 4 packets ramen noodles, discard flavor packet
  • 4 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-x-8 inch casserole dish with baking spray and place it on a baking tray to catch any drips during baking.
  2. Prepare Noodles: Take each square of ramen noodles and break them in half through the middle to create smaller noodle sections suitable for layering in the dish.
  3. First Layer Assembly: Place one layer of the broken ramen noodles evenly on the bottom of the casserole dish. Spread 2 cups of tomato sauce over the noodles, then sprinkle 1 cup of grated parmesan and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella evenly on top.
  4. Second Layer Assembly: Add a second layer of ramen noodles on top of the first. Pour the remaining 2 cups of tomato sauce over the noodles, then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup parmesan and 1 cup mozzarella cheese evenly across the top.
  5. Baking: Bake the assembled dish in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese has melted and started to brown slightly.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the rame lasagna from the oven and serve immediately while hot and melty. Enjoy your comforting, cheesy meal!

Notes

  • If you prefer a vegetarian version, ensure your tomato sauce and cheese are free from animal-derived ingredients.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like basil or oregano to the tomato sauce before layering.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut through the lasagna cleanly when serving to preserve the layers.
  • You can substitute the tomato sauce with a marinara sauce for a chunkier texture.
  • To reduce sodium, select low-sodium tomato sauce and cheeses.
