Chocolate Layer
- 12 oz milk chocolate chips
Pretzel Layer
- 8 oz pretzels (half of 16 oz bag)
Caramel Topping
- 11 oz Kraft caramels, unwrapped
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking.
- Melt Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring well between each interval until smooth and completely melted.
- Spread Chocolate: Spread two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment paper on the baking sheet to form the base layer.
- Add Pretzels: Arrange the pretzels evenly on top of the melted chocolate and gently press them into the chocolate to help them adhere.
- Melt Caramel: In the microwave, melt the unwrapped caramels with heavy cream for 2 minutes, stirring until smooth and drizzle this caramel mixture evenly over the pretzels.
- Top with Chocolate Drizzle: Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the caramel and pretzel layer for a decorative finish.
- Chill to Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill until the bark is set and firm, approximately 30 minutes.
Notes
- For easier melting, use high quality chocolate chips or chunks.
- If preferred, use salted pretzels to enhance the salty-sweet flavor.
- Add a pinch of sea salt on top before chilling for an extra salty kick.
