Delight in these adorable Melted Snowman Cookie Dough Bites featuring edible cookie dough coated in white chocolate ganache, decorated with Oreo hats and festive sprinkles. Perfect for holiday treats or fun desserts.
Ingredients
Scale
Cookie Dough
- 2 cups store-bought or homemade edible cookie dough
Decorations
- 9 mini Oreos
- 18 Rolo chocolate candies
- 18 snowflake sprinkles (optional)
- Black pearl sprinkles, for decorating
- Orange pearl sprinkles, for decorating
Ganache
- 2 cups (240 g) white chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Portion Dough: Scoop the cookie dough into 1-Tbsp. portions and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet to form 18 scoops. Freeze until very firm, about 15 minutes.
- Prepare Oreos: Separate the mini Oreos and scrape off the frosting from each half, saving it as a snack if you like.
- Melt Ganache: In a medium heatproof bowl, microwave white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 15-second intervals, stirring well between each, until melted and smooth, about 1 minute.
- Create Ganache Bases: Spoon eighteen 1-inch diameter rounds of the melted ganache onto a parchment-lined baking sheet; these will serve as the bases for the cookie bites. Save any remaining ganache for dipping.
- Assemble Hats: Dip the smaller end of each Rolo candy into the remaining ganache, then attach it to the flat side of an Oreo half to form the snowman’s hat. If using, dip snowflake sprinkles into ganache and affix them where the Oreo meets the Rolo.
- Coat Dough Balls: Roll each frozen dough scoop into a smooth ball. Using a fork, dip each cookie dough ball into the ganache to coat it fully, then gently press it onto a ganache round on the baking sheet. Before the chocolate sets, decorate each snowman by pressing two black sugar pearls for eyes, 3 to 4 black sugar pearls in a semicircle for the mouth, one orange sugar pearl for the nose, and place the assembled hat on top.
- Set and Serve: Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving.
Notes
- If you prefer, homemade edible cookie dough can be used, ensuring it is safe to eat raw (no eggs or heat-treated flour).
- Use black and orange pearl sprinkles or any small candy beads to decorate faces.
- Freezing the dough balls ensures they keep their shape and are easier to dip.
- The white chocolate ganache can be gently reheated if it starts to harden during assembly.
- Snowflake sprinkles are optional but add a festive touch to the hats.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
