Perfect for parties or as a sweet gift, this easy-to-make snack mix offers a crunchy and sweet flavor with charming seasonal colors.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups Corn Chex® cereal
  • 1 cup mini pretzel twists
  • 2 cups Rice Chex® cereal
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios cereal or plain Cheerios
  • 1 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s red, white, and pink (plus extra for topping)

Chocolate Coating

  • 3-1/4 cups white chocolate chips (just under 2 bags)
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil or canola oil
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper and set it aside for later.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a very large bowl, combine the Corn Chex, mini pretzel twists, Rice Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios, and 1 cup of Valentine’s Day M&M’s. Stir gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine 3 cups white chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir for 15 seconds, then microwave an additional 15 seconds. Stir until the white chocolate is melted and smooth. If needed, continue microwaving in 15-second bursts with stirring in between until fully melted.
  4. Coat the Snack Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the snack mix. Working quickly, gently stir until every ingredient is evenly coated with the white chocolate. Immediately transfer the coated mix onto the prepared sheet pan and spread it out into an even layer.
  5. Add Toppings and Optional Decoration: Sprinkle the remaining Valentine’s Day M&M’s evenly over the top, and add Valentine’s Day sprinkles if using. For an extra decorative touch, melt the last 1/4 cup white chocolate chips in the microwave, transfer to a small plastic bag, cut the tip off, and pipe stripes across the coated snack mix.
  6. Set and Serve: Allow the white chocolate to firm up and harden at room temperature, or place the sheet pan in the fridge for about 10 to 20 minutes until firm. Once hardened, break the snack mix into pieces and serve.
  7. Enjoy and Review: Enjoy this festive snack mix and please leave a review to share your experience.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
  • For longer shelf life, store the snack mix in the freezer inside a sealed container or bag.
  • You can substitute the white chocolate chips with almond bark if preferred.
  • Make sure to stir the chocolate well during melting to avoid burning.
  • This snack mix can be customized with different themed candies for other occasions.
