Description

This Velveeta Fudge recipe is a quick and easy treat made with only five ingredients. Creamy Velveeta cheese blended with butter, chocolate, and powdered sugar creates a rich and smooth fudge perfect for any occasion. Optional pecans add a delightful crunch. Refrigerate to set and enjoy a creamy, sweet dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 12 ounces Velveeta, diced
  • 1 cup salted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 8 cups powdered sugar (2 pounds)

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 ½ cups pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt Velveeta and Butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, add the diced Velveeta and butter. Stir frequently until both are fully melted and combined to form a smooth mixture.
  2. Add Chocolate and Vanilla: Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the melted Velveeta and butter mixture. Stir constantly until the chocolate chips are completely melted and incorporated. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Incorporate Powdered Sugar: Lower the heat to the lowest setting. Gradually add the powdered sugar in increments, stirring well after each addition until the mixture is smooth and thick.
  4. Add Pecans: Turn off the heat and stir in the chopped pecans if using. Mix thoroughly to distribute them evenly throughout the fudge mixture.
  5. Set in Dish: Pour the fudge mixture into a prepared baking dish and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  6. Chill: Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and allow the fudge to set for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  7. Serve: Once set, cut the fudge into 48 pieces and serve.

Notes

  • For easier melting, dice Velveeta into small cubes before starting.
  • If you prefer a nut-free fudge, omit the pecans or substitute with other mix-ins like chopped dried fruit.
  • Use a non-stick spray or parchment paper on the baking dish for easier removal.
  • Ensure the powdered sugar is sifted to avoid lumps in the fudge.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
